The "2009" version of the L2m offers much more than its predecessor. The inside diameter of the 2009 L2m has been bored out to 18mm, thereby offering many more options. Coupled with this modification this unit also ships with a Solarforce L2-ECR (extension) all packaged together in a nice display box. As a result of the increase in diameter this light can now accept 18650 size cells. Therefore, the versatility that this light offers is unmatched. This light can accept anything from a single CR123A battery to an 18650 battery, right out of the box.
